INSTALLATIONS & VISUAL ART

Newman Family Library

Permanent installation commissioned for a private family library. Residence members contributed texts from books in the library that are significant to them. The text is written in graphite on wax-treated walls in a site-specific typographic design; single words etched on thick, book-sized glass panels float a few inches away from the wall, creating an ephemeral word-poem that casts their shadows subtly over the graphite text. San Francisco, CA

Mixed media permanent installation, dimensions variable. Graphite, carnuba wax, latex, etched glass, each glass panel 6" x 11" x 2".
